[DVOC] Bake Oven trip: Golden Eagle & Northern Goshawk alert!

The Bake Oven Knob trip is Sunday, November 1st, as previously announced. We will meet in the Bake Oven parking lot at 8:30 AM sharp. But...

"The weather forecast is now quite favorable for hawk migration, plus this is the first time in over a week that conditions will be good."

If there are any members who need either of these two birds, this is your chance!

Forecast for Germansville, PA for Sunday: A few passing clouds, otherwise generally sunny. High 57F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. It will be a bit colder on the ridge.

Needless to say, there are is no such thing as a sure thing in birding, but the odds seem to be in our favor.

Your body heats up when you're hiking up to the lookout. A good tip is not to wear too much clothing on the way up, but pack PLENTY of clothing.
