[DVOC] DVOC Meeting on August 2nd at Palmyra - please come

DVOC Members:

I'm really hoping that the DVOC meeting on Thursday at
Palmyra will be well attended.

Reason: Sarah thorp and Paul Racette NEED YOUR INPUT.
Their PowerPoint Presentation will be interactive.

Sarah is the head of the Delaware River City
Corporation. She is responsible for putting in a
multi-use trail along a Philly section of the Delaware
River, extending form Allegheny Avenue north to the
Bucks County border. This is a 10-year, $30,000.000
project. We will have a lot more access to the river,
and birding opportunities will be much greater,
IF...we can give her the input she needs to keep it as
natural as possible.

The other speaker, Paul Racette, is with the Pennypack
Environmental Council. He is responsible for RESTORING
TIDAL WETLANDS along that same stretch of river.

This is an exciting project. Please come to the
meeting Thursday and support this effort.
