"I have been birding for quite some time. As a child I would follow the birds near my home near Lake Erie, and later in Massachusetts when my family moved there. Since I have recently retired, I am hoping to enjoy birding now more than ever. I have not done much birding locally; I have had more time while traveling. I especially enjoy birding in the Florida Everglades whenever I visit. My most rewarding travels that included birding have been to Botswana, and closer to home, Tobago and Costa Rica. I am looking forward to joining DVOC and birding closer to home."
