“I have been birding for 10 years now, I started through an afterschool program in my high school. I primarily bird on the Delmarva Peninsula but am currently up in Albany NY obtaining a degree from Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute. My favorite part of birding is that is gets you outside and enjoying all the little micro-habitats around you. I do visit major wildlife refuges but am just as content birding on the side of some back road or trail.”
